Open frequent expenses

Choose a saved expense and confirm its details before recording.

Install shortcut

Dictate a transaction

Open Anotto dictation. Say the amount, account and destination, then review.

Install shortcut

Review notices

Open your private inbox to review notices captured from different sources.

Install shortcut

App-opening shortcuts need Anotto installed on that iPhone. Enable Back Tap or the automation yourself; installation changes no device settings.

Record with Back Tap

  1. Install “Open frequent expenses” and save at least one frequent expense in Anotto.
  2. On iPhone open Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap.
  3. Choose Double Tap and select your Anotto shortcut.
  4. Tap the back of your iPhone twice, choose the expense and review before confirming.

Set up Apple Pay detection

Apple can trigger an automation when a selected card is tapped. This gives Anotto no general Wallet access and does not guarantee every purchase detail.

  1. In Shortcuts open Automation → New automation → Transaction and select your card.
  2. Use available input to compose the notice text. Preserve the original event date.
  3. Send text to Anotto’s private endpoint using Get Contents of URL, POST and JSON. Create your private key under Settings → Connections → API keys.
  4. The notice stays pending in Anotto. Review bank, account, amount and possible matches before confirming.

Your banks and other sources

Use the same capture with a supported message trigger. Available details depend on iOS and your bank. Preserve the original ID and date; replaying the same data creates no additional notice.

Location, only when you choose it

Add Get Current Location in your shortcut and send latitude, longitude and captured_at inside capture_location. iOS requests permission. It is the device location at capture, not a verified merchant address. Shown in Purchase locations after linking the notice to a confirmed expense.

Your key is private

The API key can submit notices to your account; treat it as a private credential. Never publish it or share your configured shortcut. Revoke it in Anotto. Downloadable access shortcuts contain no keys.
